Orphan House
The Nile Sudanese Lutheran Mission has received six new orphans from Dimma Refugees camp located in Western Ethiopia. Similar to the story of Sudan lost Boys; these minors are victims of the African long running civil war in Sudan. Their parents were either killed or missed when the Red Cross rescued them from various combat zones in Sudan. The United Nation High Commission (UNHCR) fed and raised these children in the camp until they found a new home in Rochester, New York. They have lots of needs. One of the orphans is a hard of hearing individual. His social life is limited only to himself. He needs social connection to the wider Rochester area hard of hearing community and beyond. If there are ways you could help these orphans, please contact the Nile Sudanese Lutheran Mission at (585) 244-6065 or email us at

. Monitory donation is accepted. The Rev. Jordan M. Long is our pastor.
